Up Down Pattern Game

Last week, you started working on the Up Down Pattern Game. This is an attention game that teaches your dog to disengage from distraction and offer you attention. Remember that for this game, you aren’t cuing your dogs attention in any way – you want them to learn how to do this for themselves. We are simply waiting for them to make a great decision – to look at us! If this is very difficult, assume the environment is too distracting and find a new space to work where your puppy can be successful.

This week, if your puppy is doing great, start tossing your treats slightly away from you to create a little motion and a little more distraction for your dog.
