Attention Work

Next up, head back to the Name Game – an attention game you played in the first week of class. This time around, you’ll use your puppy’s name as a way to ask them to disengage from something they find distracting.

Find a helper and have that person act mildly distracting while walking about. Then, cue your puppy’s name and treat for attention. If your puppy is having a difficult time disengaging from the distraction, have the helper move farther away.
